Who I am
This site is run by Angela Yoo, trading as Crispy Content Club, in Sydney, Australia. This policy covers this website, the enquiry form on it, and the Crispy Content Club Instagram account and its messages.
Most small businesses with an annual turnover of $3 million or less are currently exempt from the Privacy Act 1988, unless one of the statutory exceptions applies to them. I handle your information as if the Australian Privacy Principles applied to me anyway, and I intend to keep doing that whether or not the exemption stays in place.
What I collect
- What you send me. If you fill in the enquiry form, that is your name, email address, business name if you give it, and the message you type. If you message me on Instagram, that is your Instagram handle and the content of your messages.
- Technical data logged by the website host when you load a page: IP address, browser type, referring page and the pages you viewed. I do not see this at a personal level and I do not use it to identify you.
- If you buy a product or book coaching, the details you enter on the checkout or booking page. Those pages are run by third-party tools, and your card details never touch this site.
Cookies and tracking
This site does not currently use analytics, advertising pixels or any other non-essential tracking, and it does not set cookies of its own. If that changes, this policy will be updated first, and any tracking that needs your consent will ask for it before it loads.
The fonts on this site are loaded from Google Fonts, which means Google's servers see your IP address when the page loads. That is the only third-party request the page makes on its own.
How I use it
To reply to your enquiry, to talk with you about working together, to deliver the product or service you bought, and to send you the workshop or email updates you asked for. I do not sell your personal information and I do not share it with anyone else for their own marketing.
Email and unsubscribing
I only email you if you gave me your address for that purpose, or if you enquired and I am replying. Any marketing email will identify me and carry a working unsubscribe link that does not require you to log in, create an account or supply any further personal information. Unsubscribes are actioned within the five business day limit set by the Spam Act 2003.
Who else handles your data, and where
I use a website host to serve this site, an automation service to receive enquiry form submissions and deliver them to me, Meta and Instagram for messaging, and third-party checkout and booking tools when you buy or book. These providers store and process data outside Australia, mainly in the United States, under their own privacy policies and their own countries' laws.
By using the site or sending me your details, you consent to that overseas disclosure. You should know what that means. Those providers are not regulated by the Privacy Act 1988 or the Australian Privacy Principles. If one of them handles your information in a way that would breach the Australian Privacy Principles, it is not accountable under the Privacy Act and you will not be able to seek redress under that Act. I also cannot control how a foreign provider is compelled to act by its own government. I pick providers I consider reputable, but that is the limit of what I can promise.
Security
I take reasonable steps to protect what I hold, but no website or messaging service is completely secure and I cannot guarantee against every risk. Please do not send me sensitive information such as financial account details or identity documents through Instagram or the enquiry form.
Access, correction and deletion
Ask me and I will tell you what I hold about you, correct it if it is wrong, or delete it. I aim to respond within 30 days. If you are not happy with how I handled it, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at oaic.gov.au.
Data retention
I keep enquiry and message data for as long as I reasonably need it to run this business and answer your enquiries, or until you ask me to delete it, whichever comes first. Records of purchases are kept for as long as Australian tax law requires.
Children
This site is for people running businesses. It is not directed at anyone under 18 and I do not knowingly collect their information.
Changes
If I update this policy, the date at the top changes. Material changes will be flagged on the site.
